This modern Japanese style restaurant located in San Francisco, CA could never come to life because of COVID, unfortunately. Commercial and hospitality design got hit hard by COVID. Every detail was carefully curated by Yoko, really incorporating all the elements of Japan with a touch of modernity in the city. Our vision was to create a Japanese traditional feel of “koshitu”, meaning a small community or cozy dining space within a restaurant. By incorporating light wood tones, custom furnishings made in CA to mimic Japanese cypress furniture, and moody textures on the walls we delivered a space that was going to for sure fit the simplicity of Japanese design in the hustle and bustle of the city in the San Francisco Bay Area.
